America best Holiday steeped in the attitude of gratitude maybe the most inspiring of all the holidays! Just as the Pilgrims gave thanks celebrating their health and survival with friends and family so we too are able to look at the good fortune we have experienced in our own new world.Or society has giving us different challenges than our for fathers but the struggle is essentially the same. We Strive to feed ourselves, stay warm and healthy. Most important we need our Spirit renewed by sharing what we have with other.
The modern age has driven us apart physically and mentally in many ways. Our family members friends move across the country and the globe. These bonds are tested by time. Time to stay in touch, time to share our joys and pains.the reality of it only a few can be kept in the inner circle . What about the ones out side the circle. We may try and recapture them today with different forms of social networking but some how this lacks the intimacy of close relations . We feel some how a need to mark our place with remembering and being remembered. I personally feel Grateful to all the people I have met that helped me get this far in life. I'm grateful for the teachers who guided me and the friends who like family cared and nurtured me as I matured. I have often regretted that i was unable to express the gratitude I have to all the friends i have made along the way. The ones that made my life meaningful and fulfilling. I used to think if I became rich and famous I would make some public display so they would each their moment in the sun. Alas I'm not rich or famous and my meager existence will not be noted after I'm gone. It however does not diminish the very spirit of the thing that makes us so human. Gratitude! So in Gratitude I have decided to use what tools i have to publicly thank as many people as I can. In some small way give them a place in my history a sunny spot in electronic record. Hopefully as an inspiration to others who find there way to this page. So on my website I have created the living wall of gratitude. My hope is that page will out live me and chronicle the good fortune I have had on my journey. Website www.bruceerdman.com
